Hospital!
Miss J was very brave this last week.
We are so proud of her as she had
to have her tonsils out and some grommets in.
She went into hospital on Thursday at 1pm...
the menaces were gone at 2.30pm and Miss J
she slept peacefully for the next 3 hours
with her favorite dolly Miss Polly next to her side.
There's something about seeing your child sleep
like this after an operation. Peaceful and in no pain...
I was so pleased she hadn't woken up frightened
from the anesthetic as I know some do!
Quite the opposite she just asked for 'Mummy'
and they bought her straight back to me, I was waiting
in her cubicle on the ward. She was again sleeping peacefully.
Then for the next 24hrs they watched her progress,
as Miss J and I watched a few Disney movies- 4 of them-
and did some stitching....
Miss J loves to sew/stitch and she decided before we went
that she would like to do a birdy stitchery.
This pattern is from the Melly and Me range.
Its called 'Feathered Friends'...
we hope to finish it really soon...
and then I will post a picture once its done
and Mummy has to help her do it soon,
as I have a little girl constantly asking( nagging) me..he he.
Now to recover.... and stitch!
Happy Stitching
Sweet Cinnamon-y Hugs

no fun but she looks so peaceful........
What a precious picture. Glad the visit to the hospital went well - hope Miss J feels better.
Gosh she does look peaceful. Mine have had a few ops between them and they were never that peaceful! Glad it is all over for her. (When I first read the teaser title I thought you were going to say you'd been to visit the Queen!)
Hello Dawn, I wish Miss J a speedy recovery....ice cream and jelly was a blessing for our Jess when she had her tonsils out last May...Hugs Lyn

Hi Dawn,

Hi Dawn!!!!! I hope your daughter is improving!!! kisses for you
SO glad her surgery went well!!! I remember getting my tonsils and adonoids out when I was 5. Super scary! I remember Mum carried me into theater and I though "they can't put the mask on if I hide my face" so I buried my head into Mum's shoulder and they eventually got the mask on, 3 breaths and I was out! lol I've had two major surgeries since then and have been fine with them, but I'll tell you, the way to go with anesthetic is the needle! The last op was this last October, and they couldn't get the needle in (I bruised quite badly from the force too) so went with the mask and the stuff tastes foul!! Ugh!! So gross!
What Disney movies did you watch?
I'm glad the surgery went well for her! I remember when Brian had his tonsils out. He was 10 years old at the time I think. Seems so long ago now.
So glad all went well with the surgery and I hope Miss J has a very speedy recovery , So nice to see her stitching and so well done.
hugs SHeila
Hope she is feeling better soon! Ice cream, lots of ice cream is good to comfort the throat. That's what I remember about having my tonsils out when I was five. Her little birdy stitchery is beautiful!
Oh Miss J get well soon. You will be like a new young lady soon. No more sore throats and earaches.
What a beautiful stitchery you are doing.
It is hard going with our kids sometimes, we want them to be safe and feel no pain...ever, but sometimes it is out of our control.
OH bless her heart - lots of ice cream and hugs - poor little tyke! Such a gorgeous little girl she is. Dawn her stitching is brilliant, what a fine teacher you are!
Poor baby girl, tonsils can be nasty little things....so please she is on the road to recovery.....after my boys had their tonsils out they were never sick, but before that they were forever on antibiotics.......she is an amazing little stitcher...
Aww.... little people and operations... Missy Moo just wanted me too when she came out of anaesthetic. It's nice to have them so cuddly for a bit!!
My kids had their's out 2 years ago and haven't looked back less sickness it was amazing. Both had very different experiences, my son was in agony after the operation wouldn't eat for days and had to have morphine, my daughter was up and eating within 20 minutes of coming out of the anesthetic (think maybe it is just a girl thing though).

Ah, bless her, please get that throat better soon baby. Lots of good well wishes from soggibottom x x x

So glad the op is behind her now. Will it be a diet of ice cream and lemonade for a few days? Love her stitcheries, she does a better job than I do!
Glad the operation was a success and good luck with the stirching.
