Do you want a pincushion too?

The Gum Tree Designers and I had a little secret pincushion swap....

Sweet Blessing received at just the right time!

I have been feeling down this week....
Do you have weeks like that?
It started off for no reason, just flat... no umph...
I finished a couple of things, which was great but still felt uugh.

Then on Tuesday I had the phone call I didn't want to hear.
My Mums sister had passed away. My Aunt G....
She was the most fun loving Aunt I could have wanted
and even though she lived so far away I miss her..
She always was funny... such a happy lady.
I will miss you Aunt G.

A little later in the day this little gift arrived from a dear friend.

Kris sent me a little something....

A welcomed parcel which arrived just to cheer me up....

Special caring thoughts from afar
A little tea sachet holder in rosey prints
( we'll share a cuppa from afar Kris)
A marker, a notepad and some little iddy biddy charm squares.
(a nice little tea tray runner I can make with these
look out in the next few weeks)

Thanks Kris... your such a blessing.
Darling Hubby is taking me out for dinner tonight
to our favorite restuarant...

Have a wonderful night!
I will, just me and my man and some yummy food!

Between Charming Friends quilt finished!

I have finally had a finish for July.... Yeah.
Kellie at Charming Chatter hosted a quilt along...
a gorgeous quilt to make so I joined up...
and Love it!

I changed the borders slightly so to make it a wee bit bigger
The fabric used is Avairy by 3 Sisters for Moda,
Kellie used 2 charm packs but I used a Honey Bun
with some left over for maybe, a table runner? not sure just yet.
I am really pleased with the way it turned out,
and it looks great on my antique round coffee table...
Just ideal for a tea party... must have one tomorrow...LOL
Thanks Kellie for hosting a great quilt-along
so I could make a wonderful mini quilt.
Pop over to Kellie's blog and make one for yourself.

Excited plus babies.

Now to find time to sit and play... I have never been into computer games and sitting on the computer for hours on end seemed useless unless I was reading blogs to inspire my sewing adventures..Lol..
I receievd in the mail last week a software program for my computer that I was excited about. My friend Vicki had told me about the one she received so I asked my DH for a early birthday present and he agreed.... yippee
EQ7 for me to play with.
Excited am I,now I just need to find some spare time to play....
and I will.... soon.
But first I need to prepare some quilts that are going to be auctioned
tonight for Birthing Better Babies.
A charity that helps the women of Baseco.
I heart this great idea started by Cathy and her passion for mums that
have no means of support to give birth.
They give birth in the slums of Baseco.
No running water, not sanitation, no clean place to lay.
Through Cathy proceeds help support a mother through her preganancey to birth with
immunisation, health care, ultrasounds and birth packs.
And I have donated two of my quilts for silent auction at the venue.
The patterns are available for purchase ( see below)

'Blushed' single quilt PDF Pattern
Size: 50" x 66"
$2.50 USD

and 'Peep Po' baby quilt PDF Pattern
Size: 41" x 41"

For 1 week only the patterns are half price
with all proceeds going to Birthing Better Babies.

If you are going tonight, I look forward to meeting up.
Have a great day.
Happy stitching
